Jordan desperately needs consistent playing time and he isn’t getting it in New York.

He’s been a yo-yo between the Knicks and the D-League this season, and even when he’s with the big club, Jordan rarely sees the floor.

Jordan will rejoin the Knicks with Tyson Chandler (wrist, hamstring) a little banged up. He’s been up and down from the D-League all season.

Jordan will be depth on the bench and nothing more.

Jordan will see limited run this season, making him a fantasy afterthought.

This was a mere formality and now is official. With Tyson Chandler in the fold, Jordan does give the team another seven-footer, but is highly unlikely to amass any sort of reliable fantasy value.

Jordan’s agent believes that he’s ready to contribute, and notes that there’s a definite need on New York’s roster for size. If he doesn’t make the team’s final roster, Jordan will likely pursue a trade in order to get his NBA career underway.

Jordan is a legit seven-footer with a good low-post game. He’s still very raw, however, and the recent addition of Tyson Chandler assures that he won’t have reliable fantasy value.

Jordan, a 2010 second-round pick out of Tulsa, has appeared in six games for the Knicks so far this season. He averaged 1.3 points and 1.3 rebounds in 4.8 minutes per game.

Jordan spent just six days with the Erie BayHawks. He’ll be a practice body.
