Jazz assistant coach Mike Wells praised rookie Joel Bolomboy for improving steadily throughout Summer League, citing his work ethic and willingness to learn.
“Night and day,” Wells said, referring to the progress Bolomboy made in Las Vegas. “I thought that he came in with a lot of energy, not sure what to do and you just kept seeing somebody that was settling into the game ... He figured out how to play a little bit in kind of an NBA game.” In spite of Bolomboy’s improvement, he’s a longshot to make the regular-season cut after Utah restocked their roster with veterans this offseason.
