The center out of North Carolina helped his team win the NCAA championship behind averages of 12.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 1.2 blocks and 1.0 steals during his senior season. He shot 55.5 percent from the field, but struggled from the line at 62.2 percent. A 6'10" bruiser weighing in at 260, Meeks will likely be a rebounding specialist early in his career. With Jonas Valanciunas, Lucas Nogueira and Jakob Poeltl all under contract for next season, Meeks will likely spend a lot of time in the G-League.

The Nets have two picks in the first round (Nos. 22 and 27) and one pick in the second round (No. 57) and the North Carolina product is currently projected to be a late second rounder. Brooklyn would be a nice landing spot due to their lack of depth behind Brook Lopez, so he will be a candidate for them if he’s available at No. 57.
