The Warriors signed rookie center Kosta Perovic on Friday.
Perovic was the 38th pick in the 2006 draft and played last season in Serbia and Montenegro. The 7-foot-2 center helped lead Partizan Belgrade to a championship, averaging 12.0 points and 5.3 rebounds per game in the Adriatic league. “We are excited that Kosta will be joining our team this season,” said Chris Mullin, the team’s executive vice president of basketball operations. “He is a very skilled player, and we think that he has tremendous potential.” We don’t see him having fantasy value this year, although he might be higher on the depth chart than Patrick O’Bryant, who is on his way to being a bust.

Kosta Perovic will spend a lot of time in the D League this season, as Don Nelson says he’s not ready for the NBA.
“Kosta is just not ready,” Nelson said. “It’s going to take a few years for that guy, or he could get it like (Patrick) O’Bryant did. I don’t know when they’re going to get it, but when they do, then they can become players. We’re definitely going to send him to Bakersfield,” Nelson said.

In a move that was long-expected, the Warriors sent their rookie center Kosta Perovic to their D-League affiliate, the Bakersfield Jam.
This is probably the last time Perovic will be mentioned this season. Even if he is recalled, he won’t have any value.

Kosta Perovic made his NBA debut for the short-handed Warriors on Saturday, finishing a win over the Bucks with four points on 2-of-2 shooting and four rebounds, in only six minutes.
This could be the biggest contribution Perovic makes all season long, so don’t get too excited about the Serbian big-man.

The Warriors recalled center Kosta Perovic from Bakersfield in the Developmental League on Sunday.
Perovic was assigned to Bakersfield on November 17. The Serbian center was the 38th overall pick in the 2006 draft, but hasn’t played with the Warriors.

Las Provincias is reporting that Warriors’ back-up center Kosta Perovic has a deal in place with the Spanish team Pamesa Valencia.
The publication reported that Kosta has agreed to a three-year deal worth about $4.2 million over three years, while Perovic was expected to make just $1.6 million with the Warriors. In order for this deal to take place, the Warriors would have to come to some kind of agreement with Perovic to let him out of his contract. The Warriors would have just Andris Biedrins and Ronny Turiaf as big bodies, and would get no return on their investment.

The Contra Costa Times’ Marcus Thompson reports that several European teams are interested in Warriors center Andris Biedrins, and are said to be in hot pursuit of the unsigned big man.
Russian teams are said to be willing to offer Biedrins, a native of Latvia, somewhere in the neighborhood of three- to five-year deals worth about $10 million per season. And Thompson speculates that the best offer the Warriors will throw out there might be six years and $48 million. It’s possible the exodus of Josh Childress from the NBA might get the Warriors to up the ante, but it’s also possible that Biedrins could continue the trend of solid NBA players bolting for Europe. And if it happens, Ronny Turiaf, Al Harrington or Kosta Perovic might be starting in the middle for Don Nelson.

The Warriors waived forward Kosta Perovic on Friday.
That will free him up to go play in Spain this season, where he signed a three-year deal. However the Warriors have the option to re-sign him in two years.

Warriors send rookie Kosta Perovic to the D-League.
He has no fantasy value regardless of what league he’s playing in.

In sending Patrick O’Bryant to the D-League, the Warriors also recalled rookie forward Kosta Perovic.
Perovic, who has played in only one game this season, was a second-round pick in 2006.
