Williams appeared in eight summer league games for Miami, contributing averages of 9.9 points and 2.6 rebounds on shooting 38 percent shooting. The undrafted guard out of UCF will attempt to earn himself a regular-season roster spot over the course of training camp, but that’ll be a tall order with the amount of depth Miami already has at the guard spots.

They needed to cut someone to make room for Derrick Jones Jr., but this move won’t make an impact in fantasy hoops.

He could potentially get into the rotation on Wednesday vs. Boston with Miami so banged up, but it’s unlikely he’ll be on the floor enough to produce any relevant statistics in fantasy hoops. Leave him on the wire.
