All 18 assists from Tony Parker Tuesday night (VIDEO)

Tony Parker takes what you give him. If you want him to score, he can do that — he is quick getting to the rim, has a solid jumper and still has the best floater in the game.

But if you take away his shot he will beat you with the pass. And he beat the Memphis Grizzlies that way in Game 2 with a career best 18 assists.

All of those came in the first three quarters, by the fourth he looked gassed and with a desperate and aggressive Grizzlies defense clamping down he had none (and shot just 2-of-8) in the fourth quarter. The Spurs still got the win (Tim Duncan doesn’t age) and this was still an impressive performance by Parker.
