We showed you a sneak peek of the new court design the Pelicans would be unveiling this season, but now that the team has come correct and given us some more official-looking photos, it’s worth taking a closer look at the innovative composition.

I’m in the minority here, but while I appreciate the effort, I find the result to be a little on the busy side.
The wings of the Pelican look more like spider legs at first glance, and though the logo does actually look pretty great from the baseline view, it’s one that only a few fans in the arena will get to see, due to the way games are typically shown on the television broadcast.
