The Suns have to be getting nervous about Goran Dragic.

He’s been cavalier about his desire to explore options in free agency this summer, and he has expressed concerns about his fit with Eric Bledsoe and Isaiah Thomas.

Phoenix can offer more money, and that will certainly help. But with the Thunder and Pelicans charging, the Suns might not be able to pitch returning to a playoff team.

Gery Woelfel of The Journal Times:

The Rockets have previously been linked to Dragic trade talks, but they’re not the only team.

I have to believe a first rounder is just the starting point. If that’s all they want, the Suns should have contenders jumping at the chance to get him.

Dragic is an exceptional player, one tier below an All-Star. A low first rounder is well worth renting him for the rest of the season, let alone having his Bird Rights and the inside track to re-sign him in the offseason.
