The Blazers will work out Baylor point guard Pierre Jackson on June 17.
Jackson has drawn some comparisons to Nate Robinson for his 5'10" size and freaky athleticism. He’ll have to work on his shot since he shot just 42.6 percent in his senior season at Baylor to impress the Blazers enough to select him at 10 in the draft. Chances are Portland could be looking at him in the second round, as well.

NBA scouts felt that Baylor G Pierre Jackson was the “best player at the New Jersey combine this week,” according to David Aldridge.
“The bar wasn’t exactly high, but yes [Jackson was the best],” said one unnamed GM. “There weren’t that many players who’ll even be drafted at all in Jersey out of the 44 invitees.” Jackson, a 5'10" point guard, currently projects as a second-round pick.

The Celtics worked out Pierre Jackson, Gregory Echenique, Myck Kabongo, Shane Larkin, Phil Pressey and Steven Adams on Saturday.
Shane Larkin may be the highest profile player of this young group and had a nice combine leading all participants with his 44-inch max vertical. Pierre Jackson also has decent point guard skills, so the Celtics could certainly be looking for a backup point guard behind Rajon Rondo considering Avery Bradley couldn’t really handle the ball this season.

Pierre Jackson (eye infection) returned to action on Friday with five points in 10 minutes of action.
Jackson, the No. 42 pick in the draft, was acquired by the Pelicans on draft day. He could earn a guaranteed contract if New Orleans doesn’t keep reserve guard Brian Roberts, but right now that seems like a longshot.

Pelicans draft pick Pierre Jackson will reportedly begin his professional career with ASVEL Basket in France.
There was no lack of interest from teams overseas and presumably ASVEL will give Jackson plenty of playing time to develop his skills before he makes the leap back to the NBA. His departure gives Brian Roberts a clear path to backup PG minutes behind Jrue Holiday, though Tyreke Evans will probably dominate the ball for New Orleans’ second unit.

Pierre Jackson said that he will play for ASVEL Basket in France this season.
He’s an exciting player to watch and was one of the more athletic guys in the 2013 draft class. On the other hand, he’s just 5'10" and would really struggle at getting open looks while other NBA point guards would post him up on the other end. The 42nd pick in the draft may have a tough time getting his NBA career going.

The Nuggets and Cavaliers are both interested in trading with the Pelicans for D-League guard Pierre Jackson.
The Pelicans have thus far “not been approached with a deal to their liking,” according to CSNNW.com, and may instead call him up to the NBA before the end of the season. It’s no surprise that Jackson is drawing interest during a terrific season with the Idaho Stampede, where he’s averaging 29.1 points, 3.6 rebounds and 6.2 assists.

Pierre Jackson has permission to seek a trade from the Pelicans.
The Pelicans have his draft rights, but they don’t have a need for a point guard. Jackson is tearing it up in the D-League with a league-high 29.9 points per game to go with 3.2 triples per game, so some team might give him a shot.

Pierre Jackson was not traded on Thursday and will sign with Fenerbahçe Ülker in Turkey.
He’s been the best player in the D-League all season and has a 58-point game to his credit. He will likely be back on the radar at some point and the Pelicans will keep his draft rights.

Pierre Jackson has been asked to be excused from Wednesday’s D-League game on a chance a trade comes through for him, according to Yahoo! Sports.
He’s destroying the D-League this season and has a 58-point game on his resume. Jackson is a dynamite scorer and has drawn some comparisons to Nate Robinson for his small stature and freakish athleticism. Owners in deep leagues might want to just take a flier on him on the off chance he winds up in a great situation. As a reminder, the Pelicans own his draft rights, but never signed him. Several NBA teams are interested.
