Ruben Wolkowyski will be waived by the Celtics in the next day or so, allowing him to join a club in Spain.

The Celtics will save about $200,000 by releasing Wolkowyski, who has played a grand total of 24 minutes for them. The move will once again take the Celtics down to the minimum 12-man roster. GM Chris Wallace said ''we’ll have to see what’s out there’’ in regards to adding a 13th player.

Three European teams expressed interest in Ruben Wolkowyski this week. If he had been able to work a deal with one of them, it would have provided the Celtics some financial relief.

Wolkowyski is the last man on the Celtics roster, and remains on the IL. After talking to the Euro teams, his ''agent called me and said I’m not leaving. I’m staying here.’'
