Solomon Jones scored nine points in 23 minutes of action on Wednesday as the Hornets lost to the Raptors.
The Hornets frontcourt is depleted right now, which led to the extra run for Jones. He’s not a fantasy option.
  • CHI Center #25
Solomon Jones scored 11 points on 5-of-9 shooting with five rebounds, one steal, and one block in 24 minutes off the bench on Friday.
Jones has made minor noise in two straight games, and might have some deep league appeal down the road if the Hornets frontcourt stays banged up. Just watch him for now in 16-20 team formats.
  • Power Forward #7
Carl Landry (knee) is expected to return next week.
“Every day I see him, he keeps saying it feels better,” Monty Williams said. “He’s looking pretty good.” The Hornets chose not to re-sign Solomon Jones for the remainder of the season, and it makes sense with Landry inching closer to a return. He’s participated in shootarounds and Landry is wearing a brace in order to protect his knee. The veteran has been out since February 4 with the injury, but was averaging 11.5 points and 4.4 rebounds on 46.7 percent shooting in 24 minutes per game.
  • CHI Center #25
Solmon Jones could be a “possible big man” addition for the Pacers.
Indiana is in the market for a backup center, and Jones has played with the Pacers previously. There is nothing to suggest that anything is close to imminent, but if the team is unable to land a backup to Roy Hibbert via trade, adding Jones could be seen as a backup option.
  • CHI Center #25
Updating a previous item, Solomon Jones will not be re-signed after his second 10-day contract expires.
It’s a strange move considering how banged up the Hornets’ front line is. Perhaps it’s a sign that Gustavo Ayon’s foot injury isn’t serious or that one of the other three injured bigs are nearing a return.
  • ATL Power Forward #14
Gustavo Ayon will miss Wednesday’s matchup against the Kings due to a sore left foot.
No word yet on how long he might be out, but Ayon had already cooled off somewhat lately, averaging 10.0 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.7 steals and 0.7 blocks in three games so far in March. Solomon Jones is expected to start, with Lance Thomas seeing increased run off the bench.
  • CHI Center #25
Monty Williams said that there is a “good chance” Solomon Jones is re-signed for the remainder of the season.
Jones’ second 10-day contract expires on Wednesday, but he’s been a serviceable reserve for a New Orleans team that is dealing with a litany of injuries in the frontcourt.
  • CHI Center #25
The Hornets will sign free agent F/C Solomon Jones to a 10-day contract on Wednesday, a source tells the New Orleans Times Picayune.
The Hornets’ entire team has been decimated by injury, leaving them with just nine available players on Monday night. Jones will be a backup behind Chris Kaman, Emeka Okafor (knee, day-to-day) and Gustavo Ayon.
  • CHI Center #25
Hornets signed F/C Solomon Jones to a 10-day contract.
Jones will serve as depth on a banged-up Hornets team and not much more than that. He had spent part of this season with the Clippers previously.
  • NYK Center #28
The Clippers are searching for another big man and worked out D.J. Mbenga, Hilton Armstrong, Solomon Jones and Dan Gadzuric on Monday.
Whoever they sign, if any of these guys, won’t be worth owning in fantasy, but could help the Clippers defensively.
