Wendell Moore Jr. amassed 14 points (5-of-11 FGs, 4-of-5 FTs) and eight rebounds in Friday’s loss to the Mavericks.
Orlando has only filled one of its three two-way contract slots, with Ethan Thompson signing a deal in February. With Moore having ended the 2024-25 season on a two-way deal with the Hornets, he may be a candidate to fill a similar role for the Magic next season. While the former first-round pick was a frigid 0-of-5 from beyond the arc in Friday’s summer league finale, he was an active contributor defensively and on the glass. At the very least, Moore will hope his play in Las Vegas was enough to gain an invitation to training camp, whether with Orlando or another team.
  • CHA Small Forward #0
Miles Bridges (hip) is questionable for Tuesday’s matchup with Memphis.
Bridges is a late addition to the injury report, and he may be held out Tuesday for precautionary reasons for the first leg of Charlotte’s back-to-back set. If he’s sidelined, Tidjane Salaun and Wendell Moore Jr. will likely see a bump in playing time.
  • CHA Small Forward #28
Marcus Garrett (back) has been ruled out against the Knicks on Thursday.
Garrett has played well on his 10-day contract, but there will be some extra minutes off the bench available for Wendell Moore Jr. and Seth Curry. The final game of Garrett’s contract will be on Friday, unless they opt to sign him to a second 10-day deal.
  • CHA Small Forward #0
Miles Bridges (rest) has been ruled out against the Hawks on Tuesday.
Bridges has produced at a high level for Charlotte recently, but they’ll give him the night off against Atlanta. Marcus Garrett, Nick Smith Jr. and Wendell Moore Jr. are all candidates to fill out the open spot in the starting lineup.
  • CHA Point Guard #30
Seth Curry (back) and Wendell Moore Jr. (concussion) are available for Monday’s game against the Warriors.
Curry and Moore were initially probable for Monday’s game, so the status upgrades were expected. Both players will come off the bench, and Curry has a higher fantasy ceiling. Neither qualifies as a must-roster player in this spot.
  • CHA Point Guard #30
Seth Curry (back) and Wendell Moore Jr. (concussion) are probable for Monday’s game against the Warriors.
While Curry was sidelined with a back injury for Saturday’s loss to the Wizards, Moore has missed the Hornets’ last two games with a concussion. Curry’s return would be more impactful in fantasy basketball, as Damion Baugh, who played 20 minutes on Saturday, likely would experience a decrease in playing time.
  • CHA Shooting Guard #9
Wendell Moore Jr. (concussion) is out for Saturday’s game against the Wizards.
Moore remains in the league’s concussion protocol and will miss a second straight game. His absence does not significantly impact fantasy basketball, but it frees up additional minutes for Damion Baugh. Baugh isn’t worth adding in most leagues, but he may have added value during the “silly season.”
  • CHA Shooting Guard #9
Wendell Moore Jr. (concussion) has been downgraded to out against the Mavericks on Thursday.
Moore Jr. played 28 minutes on Tuesday, but he has been placed in the league’s concussion protocol and won’t be available against Dallas. Seth Curry and DaQuan Jeffries should take on extra minutes in place of Moore Jr.
  • CHA Point Guard #3
DaQuan Jeffries (knee) and Wendell Moore Jr. (concussion) are questionable for Thursday’s game against the Mavericks.
Jeffries has missed Charlotte’s last four games with a left knee injury and has lost rotation minutes. Moore, who played 28 minutes in Tuesday’s loss to the Warriors, has been placed in the league’s concussion protocol. Jeffries and Moore’s availability will not significantly impact fantasy basketball.
  • CHA Power Forward #31
Tidjane Salaun (ankle) is out for Tuesday’s game against the Warriors.
Tuesday’s game is the Hornets’ second in as many nights after the Kings blew them out on Monday. Salaun’s absence should result in additional minutes for Wendell Moore Jr., while Seth Curry should play after picking up a DNP-CD on Monday. Neither player has been consistent enough to merit being streamed on Tuesday.
