Free agent QB Colt Brennan has signed with the CFL’s Saskatchewan Roughriders.
Brennan went unclaimed by the four remaining UFL teams after gaining his freedom when the Hartford Colonials folded in August. He joins former University of Buffalo star Drew Willy as backups in Saskatchewan. The Rough Riders’ starting QB, Darian Durant, is the brother of Lions linebacker Justin Durant.

Free agent QB Colt Brennan has been arrested on DUI and felony drug possession charges in Honolulu.
In addition to drunk driving, Brennan is accused of “promoting a dangerous drug in the third degree.” Fresh off a stint in the CFL, Brennan was reportedly set to meet with a Hawaiian T.V. station about a job before his arrest. It sounds like Brennan knows his professional football career is over.

The Texans worked out free agent QBs Colt Brennan and Jarrett Brown on Tuesday.
Houston already has Dan Orlovsky and Matt Leinart behind Matt Schaub, so they’re probably just doing their due diligence on injury insurance policies.

KHON News in Hawaii reports that free agent QB Colt Brennan is in “serious condition” after being injured in a car crash Friday morning.
The vehicle in which Brennan was riding reportedly crossed into the centerline and hit another car “head on.” Two others involved in the crash were airlifted to a hospital. A sixth-round pick of the Redskins in 2008, Brennan’s NFL career quickly flamed out after he set the single-season D-I record for touchdown passes at Hawaii. Brennan was cut from Raiders training camp on September 4. He had a tryout for the Texans in October.

Brennan, who was reportedly in shock following the early Friday morning accident, “had to be restrained” in order to be treated at the scene. It appears all parties involved will walk away with severe yet non-life threatening injuries. The link below provides detailed information.

Free agent QB Colt Brennan has been released from a Hawaii Hospital.
Brennan will return home to Orange County to continue treatment on the injuries he suffered in a car crash nine days ago with the hopes of playing football again. While we wish Brennan the best of luck in his recovery, he didn’t have the talent to stick in the NFL before his accident. His style is more suited for the Arena Football League.

According to the father of free agent QB Colt Brennan, his son’s injuries are not life threatening.
Brennan, 27, remains in serious condition, but appears to have avoided any significant head or spine injuries in Friday’s car accident. He allegedly has 3-4 broken ribs, a fractured collarbone, and head trauma. Brennan’s girlfriend, who was in the car with him, is also in serious condition.

Free agent QB Colt Brennan is alert and in stable condition as he recovers from injuries sustained in a Friday car accident.
Brennan suffered a broken cheekbone, broken orbital, broken ribs, punctured lung and a broken clavicle in the accident, which is currently under investigation. It’s great news that Brennan is alert, and we wish him the best in his recovery process.

    Raiders released QB Colt Brennan.
Brennan was beaten out of the No. 3 job by Kyle Boller, who had the advantage of a history with offensive coordinator Hue Jackson.

Raiders signed QB Colt Brennan, formerly of the Redskins.
He’s been reunited with starter Jason Campbell. Along with Charlie Frye and Kyle Boller, the Raiders now have three of the most brittle quarterbacks in the league vying for the No. 3 job. The odds are stacked against Brennan while he spends the next couple of weeks trying to pick up Hue Jackson’s offense.
