Washington sophomore T Corey Luciano has been moved to tight end.
Luciano (6'4/268) signed on with Washington as a three-star tackle recruit out of the JUCO ranks this past winter. The Huskies are currently breaking him in as a blocking tight end. Just how long the sophomore might stick at his new position, though, remains to be seen. Washington HC Chris Petersen indicated that this move might not be permanent.
  • Washington received a verbal commitment from three-star 2091 JUCO T Corey Luciano.
Luciano picks the Huskies over offers from schools like USC, Maryland, Syracuse, Stanford and Nebraska; among others. He visited the campus on an unofficial on Saturday, and must have liked what he saw. Washington will lose both of their starting tackles to the NFL next year, so Luciano (6'4/286) could be a candidate for immediate playing time when he enrolls in 2019.
