Simon is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent after this season.

Simon was given the ''franchise’’ tag and will likely play under the one-year deal. Simon reported to camp out of shape last season, contributing to a slow start to the season. If right, he’s one of the better pass rushing DTs in the league.

Simon hasn’t signed his one-year ''franchise’’ tag and isn’t currently in camp. The Bills are quite thin at tackle, but would have to come up with a long-term deal to acquire Simon. The Eagles would probably be happy to get a few draft picks for him.

With Buffalo’s defensive line,we’d suggest Donahoe reconsider, assuming Simon’s price tag changes.

Simon is having problems with his meniscus and there’s a chance he may need surgery. He’ll undergo more tests on the knee.

It’s uncertain when Simon had the sugery, which usually takes 2-3 weeks for a player to return from. Simon made an immediate difference stopping the run for the Colts last season.

He was expected to be a key part of Indianapolis’ rotation along with Raheem Brock and Montae Reagor. It is uncertain when he’ll return.

Another annoying hit to the Eagles defense. Simon will play sparingly, if at all, for the rest of training camp. The Pro Bowler may also have to limit his snaps in week one and beyond. We’d downgrade the Eagles defense in league’s that score for points allowed.

The team doesn’t expect the injury to linger, good news for a banged-up Eagles defense.
