Colts selected Cincinnati DT Curtis Brooks with the No. 216 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.
Brooks (6'2/285) was a mainstay of the Bearcats’ pass-rush in 2021, logging 7.5 sacks plus 12 TFLs. His production earned him a first-team All-AAC nod. Though he enters the NFL as an undersized interior defensive lineman, The Athletic’s Dane Brugler notes that he played both nose tackle and three-technique in college. Brugler sees the run game as an area Brooks needs to improve in, but his pass-rush skills could earn him a rotational role for the Colts down the road.
