He’s been one of the many bright spots of the Arizona defense.

Dockett’s production has slipped somewhat the last few weeks. He still looks like a future Pro Bowler to us.

He’ll make the All-rookie team. If you are looking for a young DT in IDP leagues on the upswing, this kid could be a monster in years to come.

The Arizona defense has been quite a pleasant surprise this season. Dockett is looking like a steal as a third-round pick.

The acquisition of Peppi Zellner from Oakland in the Troy Hambrick deal makes this easier. Dennis Green has major problems all along his defensive line.

Dockett made a brief appearance on Thursday Night Football in Week 5, but continues to be limited in practice. The Cardinals are tentatively expecting him to play this week. If Dockett is held out, Vonnie Holliday would receive the majority of his vacated snaps.

Dockett has not practiced this week after injuring his hamstring in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s win over the Eagles. If Dockett does not play, the Cardinals will likely turn to Vonnie Holiday to play opposite Calais Campbell. Dockett has only missed one out of a possible 131 career games.

Dockett missed practice all last week and sat out Sunday’s win over the Dolphins. He was injured late in Week 3 against the Eagles. Putting in a limited practice is good somewhat news, and barring any setbacks he could be in line to play on Thursday night against the Rams. If Dockett can’t play, longtime veteran Vonnie Holliday would, in all likelihood, fill in opposite Calais Campbell.

Expect more details to emerge by Tuesday. The Cardinals have lost eight straight games, so it wouldn’t be shocking if the team began to unravel a bit. Rhodes was the best player on the field in the Jets game, racking up six tackles, three pass breakups, two interceptions, and a forced fumble in the loss.

Word earlier in the day was that Dockett was expected to play, so this is just confirmation. Veteran backup Vonnie Holliday will go back to a rotational role.
