The weakside inside linebacker position usually racks up the tackles, so this is good news for Dat Nguyen owners in IDP leagues.

Nguyen is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Eagles. “We got him looked at today,” coach Bill Parcells said. “He’s been having a little stinger problem. We did some tests on him to make sure we know what’s going on.”

He’ll be a game-time decision, but this is obviously a good sign.

Price was a coaches decision. Nguyen has a neck injury.

Nguyen, who missed last week’s game, has 25 tackles and an interception in four games for the Cowboys. “I feel good about what we’ve been able to determine from the tests,” coach Bill Parcells said. “I think he is improving. I don’t think we’re putting the player at risk. Whatever his comfort level is certainly a factor in performance.”

Scott Shanle will start at linebacker.

The Cowboys linebackers, especially Scott Shanle and Bradie James, played quite well in his absence last Sunday.

Nguyen was inactive for Week 5. “We’ll just watch him practice [today] and see how he does and then we’ll talk it over,” coach Bill Parcells said. “He’s got to have confidence in what he can do.”

Scott Shanle played well in his place, but Nguyen should return to the starting lineup this weekend.

“I think he’ll play against Arizona,” owner Jerry Jones said. “Dat just wants to have a little more strength in that area.”
