Cleveland.com’s Mary Kay Cabot reports the Browns have signed RB Deon Jackson to their practice squad.
Jackson, who started Week 1 for the Colts, lands in Cleveland to provide depth at running back. In his Week 1 start he didn’t fare well rushing 13 times for 14 yards and losing two fumbles. The Browns also signed TE Devin Asiasi to the practice squad
  • FA Tight End #86
    Bengals released TE Devin Asiasi.
Asiasi was claimed off waivers by the Bengals last August and caught two passes for five yards. The former third-round pick has done little to impress since being drafted by the Patriots in 2020 and will now be looking for a new team in the coming days. Asiasi has caught four passes in 22 career games, and is a non-factor in the receiving game.
  • Tight End
Bengals claimed TE Devin Asiasi off waivers from the Patriots.
A third-round pick in 2020, Asiasi never made an impact with the Pats, catching just two passes in two seasons. The Bengals do not have the strongest tight end, group, however, so perhaps Asiasi can carve out a role even if O.J. Howard signs with the team, as is expected. Cincinnati also picked up OG Max Scharping and DT Jay Tufele off waivers.

  • Tight End
    Patriots waived TE Devin Asiasi.
Asiasi was the 91st overall pick at the bottom of the third round in 2020. The undersized (6'3/257) UCLA product never made an impact in New England, catching a gran total of two passes for 39 yards and one touchdown for the Patriots. Heck of an investment.

  • Tight End
Patriots declared TE Devin Asiasi, LB Jahlani Tavai, QB Jarrett Stidham, CB Shaun Wade, OT Yasir Durant, and OLB Ronnie Perkins inactive for Week 13 against the Bills.
There aren’t any surprises here. Brandon Bolden (knee) is active, as expected.

  • Tight End
Devin Asiasi caught 2-of-3 targets for 39 yards and one score in New England’s Week 17 win over the Jets.
He registered his first career catch and touchdown in the same game in Week 17. He also dropped a pass from Cam Newton, but overall closed the year on a high, scoring the first (and only) touchdown by a Patriots tight end. Ryan Izzo is under contract for 2021, but Asiasi has a chance to open next season as a receiving threat from 12 personnel. He remains a tremendous dynasty flier.

  • Tight End
Patriots activated TE Devin Asiasi off injured reserve.
Asiasi had no known injured before being placed on IR in early November. He’s back on the team’s active roster and TE Ryan Izzo is now on IR. No tight end in New England’s run-heavy offense is going to provide fantasy value. Asiasi might be a savvy pickup in deeper tight end premium formats. He didn’t have a target in the season’s first five games.

  • Tight End
Patriots placed TE Devin Asiasi on injured reserve.
NESN’s Doug Kyed reports Asiasi has “no known injury.” He missed Week 8 for “personal reasons.” The No. 91 overall pick of the draft drew some summer hype but has yet to draw a target this season.

  • Tight End
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Patriots TE Devin Asiasi will be inactive for Week 8 due to personal reasons.
Asiasi has been active in every game this year but has yet to record a target. His absence could put Ryan Izzo and Dalton Keene on the field for a few extra snaps but those all figure to be on running plays. No New England tight end is worth a look for fantasy purposes.

  • Tight End
Devin Asiasi didn’t see a target in the Patriots’ Week 1 win over the Dolphins.
The Patriots only passed the ball 19 times with Cam Newton looking healthy as a rusher. Asiasi has some dynasty appeal, but he has a long way to go to enter the redraft radar in 2020. New England is set up to run the ball a ton.
