Domanick Davis, who has been listed as questionable all week with an ankle injury, did not practice for the third consecutive day and will miss Sundays’ game.
Head Coach Dom Capers said that Tony Hollings and Jonathon Wells would split carries.
  • HOU Running Back
Domanick Davis said his sprained ankle is “not bad,” and that he’s “all right.”
We’ll find out today whether the injury was a minor sprain or something more serious, like a high ankle sprain. Tony Hollings and/or Jonathan Wells owners should stay tuned.
  • HOU Running Back
Domanick Davis left today’s game in the first half with an undisclosed injury.
Jonathon Wells has come in and played most of the game. We’ll update once we know more.
  • HOU Running Back
Domanick Davis won’t mind if Tony Hollings takes away his goal-line carries.
“It’s not about Tony or me,” Davis said. “It’s about the team.” Davis was not talking about his fantasy team.
  • HOU Running Back
Domanick Davis is active for today’s game, as expected.
Look for Davis to start and split carries with Jonathan Wells. He’s still worth using as an RB2 or flex verus the Vikings.
  • HOU Running Back
Domanick Davis is “day-to-day” with an ankle injury and may not practice Wednesday.
Coach Dom Capers said Davis ran well straight-ahead at practice last Friday. Jonathan Wells filled in capably with Davis out this weekend.
  • HOU Running Back
Domanick Davis, questionable with an ankle injury, fully returned to Texans practice.
It sounds like he’s going to play. But the Texans, who have been very successful with other runners, sound like they want to use a committee to keep Davis healthy. “You’d like to split it up because this is a very difficult league, it’s a very physical league and you have to be in a situation where you spread the load around,” coach Dom Capers said. Davis could be a risky play for a little while.
  • HOU Running Back
Domanick Davis didn’t play the second half after bruising his thigh.
We will update his condition later tonight.
  • HOU Running Back
Domanick Davis returned in full to Texans practice Monday and took the bulk of carries.
Davis reportedly looked much healthier after the Texans bye week. Davis will get the chance to carry the load again this week, but isn’t a great play versus the Jags.
  • HOU Running Back
Domanick Davis has more fumbles (four) than touchdowns (three), and his 2.8 ypc is worst among starting NFL running backs.
The Texans as a team average just 3.3 ypc, though they have a goal of 4.0. Despite the weak running game, the Houston Chronicle believes: “Denver is likely to bring eight defenders inside the box and force the Texans to beat them through the air.” With John Lynch out in the Broncos’ secondary, David Carr could have big numbers if forced to throw. As for Davis, he’s dangerously close to sharing carries with Jonathan Wells.
