    Bears waived CB Donovan Warren.
Warren has seen time on the practice squads of the Jets and the Bears after declaring early and going undrafted out of Michigan in 2010.
  • CHI Defensive Back #36
Michigan CB Donovan Warren will forgo his senior season with the Wolverines and enter the 2010 NFL Draft.
Warren offers good size (6'0/194) and speed, and impressively started all three years at Michigan despite going through three defensive coordinators. Warren also led the Wolverines in picks (four) and pass breakups (seven) as a junior. He has an outside chance to be a first-round pick.
  • CHI Defensive Back #36
Michigan CB Donovan Warren managed just 4.62 and 4.68 in the forty-yard dash at the Wolverines’ Pro Day.
Confirming his mid-4.6 speed, Warren’s stock is in free fall after a thoroughly unimpressive Combine. We’d be surprised if he’s drafted on day two.
  • CHI Defensive Back #36
Michigan CB Donovan Warren recorded unofficial forty times of 4.65 and 4.68 at the Scouting Combine Tuesday.
Warren offers good size and physicality, but the forty times are disappointing. He’s unlikely to go off the board before the fourth round on draft day.
  • FA Defensive Back
Texas S Earl Thomas posted 21 reps of 225 pounds on the Combine bench press Monday.
Other totals of note: Boise State CB Kyle Wilson (25), Michigan CB Donovan Warren (12), USC S Taylor Mays (24) and Florida State S Myron Rolle (21). Amid question marks about his strength and size, Thomas showed up to Indianapolis much bigger than expected and outdid both Eric Berry and Joe Haden on the bench. Thomas is also likely to tear up the forty on Tuesday.
  • TB Quarterback
Ole Miss QB Jevan Snead and Oregon RB LaGarrette Blount were among those who went undrafted this weekend.
We remember reading last year that Snead would be a top-ten pick and wondering how a quarterback with major accuracy issues could go that high. Snead got bad advice when he came out as a junior. Blount was plagued by character concerns, though his upright running style with little wiggle also presented a problem. Michigan CB Donovan Warren, who also went undrafted, tweeted that he’s signing with the Jets.

Jets signed Michigan CB Donovan Warren.
Warren went undrafted after running in the 4.7 range all winter. After stealing Kyle Wilson in the first round and trading for Antonio Cromartie, the Jets aren’t an especially great landing spot. Warren will have to beat out Marquice Cole, Bo Smith, and perhaps even Drew Coleman to make the team.
  • CHI Defensive Back #36
Undrafted rookies Donovan Warren and Brian Jackson are both expected to be moved to safety with the Jets.
Both players played corner in college, but speed at the NFL level is a concern. The Jets are loaded at corner anyway, so safety is their best chance at making the team.
  • CHI Defensive Back #36
Jets waived S Donovan Warren and ILB Josh Mauga.
We’re still trying to complete the roster cuts from Saturday. Over 700 players were sent packing. Warren and Mauga are both practice squad candidates.
