Demus

It’s safe to say 2022 didn’t go as planned for Demus (6’3/212). After getting off to a hot start in 2021 (58-507-3), Demus suffered a gruesome knee injury on a kick return against Iowa, ending a promising five-game start. Demus started 12 games for the Terps in 2022 but looked like a shell of himself upon his return, totaling 22 receptions for 233 yards and one score while running the fourth-most routes on the team. Maryland spread the ball around all season, with seven different players totaling 300+ yards, Demus not among them. His height and length make him an ideal go-getter on jump balls, but he underwhelmed with a 23.1 percent contested catch rate in his final season and is only an above-average athlete. He’ll likely battle for a spot on a 53-man roster.
