MarShawn Lloyd rushed 13 times for 37 yards in the Packers’ Week 1 loss to the Vikings.

Chris Brooks drew the start in this game and held a carries advantage over Lloyd for a while. Matt LaFleur eventually came to his senses and got Lloyd more involved, though it didn’t result in much production. He averaged a measly 2.8 yards per carry and didn’t catch his lone target. Lloyd will project for more carries than Brooks in Week 2, but he’s a committee back without a role in the passing game. Lloyd will shuffle to the back of the RB3 ranks versus the Jets next week.

Tucker Kraft caught 3-of-6 targets for 65 yards in the Packers’ Week 1 loss to the Vikings.

Kraft, who tore his ACL in Week 9 last year, told reporters he would not be on a snap count in Week 1. He was. Kraft ran 20 routes to Jonnu Smith’s 18. The good news is that Kraft looked as explosive as ever, racking up gains of 30, 23, and 12 yards. Even with the weak route rate, this goes down as a win for a player whose game is built around big plays. His route rate should climb in the coming weeks, keeping him in the TE1 mix versus the Jets next Sunday.

Jayden Reed caught 3-of-7 targets for 20 yards in the Packers’ Week 1 loss to the Vikings.

Per usual, Reed was relegated to three-receiver sets. He ran 27 routes out of 11-personnel and saw three routes from all other looks combined. What wasn’t usual was Matthew Golden’s involvement. Golden struggled to get on the field as a rookie and wasn’t awfully effective when he was out there. In Week 1, Golden led the team in routes (40) and had a team-best 12 targets. Christian Watson also exploded with 147 yards and a pair of touchdowns. If both players are in line for breakout seasons, Reed may be stuck in a low-value role for fantasy managers. He profiles as a WR4 for his Week 2 game against the Jets.

Matthew Golden caught 6-of-12 targets for 97 yards in the Packers’ Week 1 loss to the Vikings.

As expected, Golden ran the bulk of the routes from an outside alignment and was much more involved compared to his rookie season. Christian Watson stole the show with 147 yards and two scores, but Golden comfortably led the team in targets. Four of his targets came on the Packers’ final drive while they were down by 17 points, but even his numbers before that were impressive. As the training camp reports indicated, Golden made massive strides during the offseason. Golden might not be the team’s target-leader every week, but he’s in the WR3 mix for the Packers’ Week 2 date with the Jets.

Christian Watson caught 6-of-8 targets for 147 yards and two touchdowns in the Packers’ Week 1 loss to the Vikings.

Watson got on the board early with an 81-yard bomb for a touchdown in the first quarter. He continued to gash the Vikings for big plays throughout the contest and even got in the end zone a second time on a short toss from Jordan Love just before halftime. Watson slowed down in the second half, but the damage was already done, at least for fantasy purposes. He won’t hit a career-long score every week, but the well-paid wideout certainly looked like a focal point of the Packers’ passing attack today. He will be in the WR2 mix when the Packers take on the Jets.

Jordan Love completed 21-of-42 passes for 387 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception in the Packers’ 22-39, Week 1 loss to the Vikings.

With Kyler Murray exiting this game early, the Packers appeared to be coasting to an easy win until the fourth quarter. Minnesota, however, slowly mounted a comeback that coincided with Love melting down. It started with a fumble that Minnesota took back to the one-yard line. Love got the ball back after a Jordan Mason touchdown and was immediately intercepted on his own side of the field, extinguishing any hope of a rebuttal from the Packers. Some garbage time production turned this into a strong fantasy outing from Love, but he will need to clear things up ahead of Week 2. Love will be in the QB2 mix versus the Jets.

Packers declared OG Aaron Banks, LB Ty’Ron Hopper, OL Travis Glover, WR J. Michael Sturdivant, DT Warren Brinson, and DT Anthony Campbell inactive for Week 1 against the Vikings.

Banks is dealing with knee tendinitis. He was limited in practice throughout the week before being listed as questionable. Rookie Jager Burton is expected to start at left guard.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports the NFL plans to interview Josh Jacobs before making a disciplinary ruling.

According to Rapoport, the league is “trying all sorts of legal maneuvers” to get the video of the incident. The court has already barred the video from being released, so it’s unclear whether the league will be able to get it from Jacobs at all. For now, Jacobs remains on the Commissioner’s Exempt List. MarShawn Lloyd will start at running back until he is removed from the list and serves an impending suspension.

Packers signed TE Tucker Kraft to a four-year, $75 million contract extension.

The news was first reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Kraft’s deal, which runs through the 2030 season, has a maximum value of $92 million and includes a $26.5 million signing bonus. He’s now the NFL’s highest-paid tight end. Kraft had 32 receptions, 489 yards and six touchdowns before tearing his ACL in Week 9 last year. Not on the injury report for Week 1, Kraft is a surefire TE1 even in a tough matchup against the Vikings defense.
