The Dolphins waived FB Heath Evans.
Evans saw his snaps decline with RB Ricky Williams back. He’s a solid player and at just 26 years old, will likely sign on with another team quickly.
  • NO Running Back
The Patriots signed FB Heath Evans.
Evans was released by the Dolphins earlier this month. ''To go to New England, after all that has happened the last few weeks, I’m thrilled,” Evans said.
  • NO Running Back
Heath Evans is carrying the load for the Patriots during their first drive.
The backup fullback for the Dolphins only a few weeks ago, Evans had 31 yards on his first three carries.
  • NO Running Back
Heath Evans rushed 17 times for 84 yards in week ten.
Corey Dillon played one snap before leaving with a leg injury. Evans, usually a fullback, carved up the Dolphins in the first half before tiring badly. He rushed 12 times for 19 yards in the second half. He’s worth a pickup in deep fantasy leagues in case Dillon doesn’t return next week.
  • NO Running Back
Dolphins fullback Heath Evans is healthy again after dealing with a kidney stone two weeks ago.
''There are very few people I wish that on,’' said Evans. ''Maybe Saddam Hussein, a few other people. Hands down the most painful thing I’ve ever done.’' Evans should start at fullback this season for the Dolphins.
  • NO Running Back
Dolphins signed FB Heath Evans, formerly of the Seahawks.
He’ll replace Rob Konrad. Evans was primarily the backup behind standout Mack Strong in Seattle.
  • NO Running Back
Patriots RB Heath Evans has been getting a lot of touches in camp.
Evans, who got a surprising five touches in the AFC title game, is expected to have an increased role in the New England offense this season. He might become fantasy-relevant if the Pats look to him in short-yardage situations. Watch him, certainly don’t draft him.
  • FA Running Back
Laurence Maroney (groin) was limited in practice again Thursday.
ESPN’s John Clayton reported earlier in the day that Maroney “should be set to go” against Dallas, but we won’t know for sure until game time. Sammy Morris and Heath Evans remain likely to get the bulk of the goal-line carries.
  • FA Running Back
Patriots placed RB Sammy Morris on injured reserve, ending his season.
The Pats would only say Morris had a “chest” injury. A free agent signee from Miami, Morris was perfect as a pace change for Laurence Maroney, and a great short-yardage option. He’ll be back next season, but it’s a big loss for their running game. FB Heath Evans and third-down specialist Kevin Faulk will remain active moving forward.
  • NO Running Back
Heath Evans had 56 yards on 10 carries in Week 11.
Evans and Kyle Eckel, who had 10 carries for 40 yards and a touchdown, were in much of the second half with Laurence Maroney and Kevin Faulk sidelined. The Patriots likely kept their top two backs out because the game was a rout, but we will learn more about their injuries on Monday. Evans might be worth picking up as a hedge if you own Maroney or Faulk, but he has minimal value.
