Cowboys signed FB Hunter Luepke to a two-year extension worth up to $7.5 million.
Luepke’s new deal includes $5 million guaranteed. He had been set to make $1 million in 2025. Pro Football Focus graded Luepka as last year’s eighth best pass-protecting back. He was graded 32nd out of 36 qualifying backs in run blocking grade. Last season he had 38 yards on 12 rushing attempts. He’ll be on the field often this season blocking for Javonte Williams and the rest of the Dallas running backs.

Hunter Luepke rushed three times for 15 yards in the Cowboys’ Week 18 loss to the Commanders.
The second-year pro out of North Dakota State saw a small increase in his fullback role this season. He ended the season catching 12-of-16 targets for 111 yards, while carrying the ball 12 times for 38 yards. Luepke is likely to stick on the Cowboys in a similar role next season, though that does not carry much weight for fantasy purposes.

North Dakota State junior RB Hunter Luepke ran for 82 yards on 14 carries, and three touchdowns in the 38-10 win over Montana State in the FCS National Championship.
The Bison are the premier team in the FCS as they claimed their ninth title in 11 years. This was not even a close contest as this team scored the first 35 points of this game and never looked back. The Bison were especially great on the ground, led by Hunter Luepke (6'1"/236), who used his size in between the tackles to move the ball. That’s how he got NDSU on the board in the first quarter when he took the pitch, ran through the tackles, and finished off the play by giving the bold shoulder to the Montana State defender knocking him to the ground and completing the eight-yard score. North Dakota State did not need to make big plays as they controlled this game from the ground, which allowed Luepke plenty of opportunities. Give the offensive line credit as they were incredibly tough and provided wide lanes for their back all day. Lupieke capped off his three-score day when he took the direct snap and just went into the end zone untouched for six yards. As Alabama looks to continue its dominance in the FBS, we already saw that today in FCS.
