He’ll start this weekend. Sharper may be slowing down, but he’s still a top-five LB for IDP players. It helps that Houston inflates tackle numbers.

Maybe the Texans knew what they were doing. Moving to the strong-side in Seattle, Sharper promises to be a huge IDP bust this season.

“My hope is they get the medicine going, knock this thing out and we’ll have him down the stretch,” coach Mike Holmgren said.

Sharper has been a disappointment in Seattle, with only 37 tackles. LeRoy Hill will start for Sharper.

IDP owners have to be scratching their heads. Sharper has been among the most productive linebackers in the league the last three seasons. While he’d find a starting job shortly, a move from Houston would seriously damage his IDP value.

The Seahawks were not as high on Sharper as a trade prospect, but seem willing to deal with him as a free agent.Adding Sharper would improve a shaky Seattle LB corps, although his numbers would likely see a decline.

This was expected since the signing of Morlon Greenwood. Sharper will sign somewhere soon and be a starting LB but his fantasy status as a top 10 LB is most likely a thing of the past. Without the LB friendly system in Houston, Sharper projects out to a solid #2 LB on your fantasy squad.

He’s in the final year of a contract that will pay him $6.13 million. His dynasty league owners should be very worried because he’s not likely keep up his huge tackle numbers away from Houston. The team plans to play Morlon Greenwood at inside linebacker, and may move Kailee Wong there too.

Sharper has been wildly productive, but it’s a salary cap move. He’s due $6.13 million . The Texans may wait until after the Draft to release the veterans to make sure they get a good rookie to help replace him. It’s bad news for his IDP owners. The Patriots and Seahawks should be interested, and Sharper has mentioned his desire to play for Marvin Lewis again in Cincinnati.
