King was arrested in February, and is accused of sexually assaulting a woman who was “highly intoxicated.” An undrafted free agent last season, King appeared in just one game. It was likely his last.

The move comes minutes after word surfaced King was facing criminal sexual conduct charges. He was arrested in February. While King was somewhat appealing as 6-foot-5, 310-pound 25-year-old, he simply wasn’t worth the trouble anymore.

Polumbus has been a swinging gate as an injury fill-in for two years in Denver and Seattle. The Seahawks will go forward with undrafted rookie Jerriel King as the backup left tackle.

An undrafted rookie out of South Carolina, King has good size at 6'5" and 321 pounds. Giants beat writers noted that he wasn’t afraid to get physical in training camp. The Seahawks may field one of the worst offensive lines in football this season, but they’d still better hope King doesn’t see action.
