Dray’s first Rotoworld blurb since November of 2010! A former seventh-round pick out of Stanford, Dray saw seven fluky targets on an odd day for the Cardinals’ passing game. The Cards tentatively expect Rob Housler back from his high ankle sprain in Week 3, which will ensure Dray remains fantasy-irrelevant.

Dray got his touchdown when he lined up as a fullback from the three-yard line and went uncovered as he released to the pylon. The blocking tight end now has 18 catches and two scores on the season.

Practice squad TE Gerald Christian will replace him on the active roster. The blocking tight end logged just 30 snaps in his four games with Buffalo.

He takes the roster spot of TE Blake Bell, who was placed on I.R. Dray is merely a blocking tight end. He turns 30 this month and spent some time with the Bills earlier this season. Dray is nearing the end of the line.

The veteran blocker’s signing is a hedge against Jermaine Gresham’s (ribs) Week 2 health.

At 6'5/255, Dray can be a nice blocking complement to move tight end Jordan Cameron. Dray set career-highs with 26 catches for 215 yards and two touchdowns for Arizona last year.

The move creates $1.775 million in cap space. Dray spent the past two years blocking in Cleveland after four seasons with the Cardinals. Now 29, Dray has 55 career catches, only 23 of which came in Cleveland. He’ll find himself on someone’s 53-man roster fringes in training camp.

Dray, 29, was released by the Browns last month in a salary-cap move. He’s purely a blocking tight end after catching 23 passes in two years with Cleveland.

Dray, 29, is merely a veteran in-line blocking tight end.

He was signed last week with Jermaine Gresham set to miss Sunday’s game with injured ribs. Releasing him suggests Gresham will be back this week.
