Raiders hired JoJo Wood as their Senior Director of Player Personnel.
Wooden served as the Chargers director of player personnel (2013-2023) and was their interim general manager for a brief time in 2023. Wooden first joined the NFL ranks as a pro personnel assistant for the Jets in 1997 and has climbed through the ranks over the last two decades. Now, with the Raiders, Wooden will look to help turn around a franchise that’s made the playoffs twice since 2003.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports the Bears requested an interview with Chargers director of player personnel JoJo Wooden for the team’s general manager vacancy.
Chicago continues casting a wide net in the search for the team’s next general manager. Wooden, who Rapoport described as a “key lieutenant” of Chargers GM Tom Telesco, formerly worked under Bill Polian, who is heading the Bears’ general manager search. Wooden has been mentioned as an under-the-radar candidate to land the Bears’ GM job.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Chargers director of player personnel JoJo Wooden is expected to interview for Washington’s general manager opening.
The Football Team has reportedly also sought to interview Falcons director of football operations Nick Polk. With the Chargers since 2013, Wooden oversees both the team’s pro and college scouting departments. We would be lying if we said we knew more than that.
