Booty

It was fun while it lasted. Booty was used by Raiders head coach Lane Kiffin until the team loaded up on quarterbacks during April’s NFL Draft. We’re a little surprised he didn’t stick longer following Andrew Walter’s knee scope, but Booty didn’t figure to make the ballclub in any event.

This should finish him off in the NFL. Booty had a cup of coffee with the QB-starved Raiders last spring, but didn’t make it to training camp. His brother John David, a 2008 draft hopeful, will likely have a more memorable career.

We didn’t think we’d hear this name again. Then Lane Kiffin, who tutored Josh’s brother John David at USC, became the Raiders’ coach. Booty, 31, is currently second on the spring depth chart, behind Andrew Walter.
