Seahawks CB Justin Coleman (calf) is doubtful for Week 4 against the Lions.
Coleman still has not recovered from a calf injury he suffered during practice ahead of Week 2. The good news for Seattle’s defense is the Lions will be without Amon-Ra St. Brown (ankle) and D’Andre Swift (shoulder, ankle).

  • SEA Free Safety #37
Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said S Quandre Diggs (knee) “looks good to play” Week 3.
Diggs sat out practice on Wednesday and is officially questionable on the final injury report, but there never appeared to be much concern about his availability. The Seattle secondary is likely to be without CB Justin Coleman, who is doubtful with a calf injury.

  • FA Cornerback
Seahawks CB Justin Coleman (calf) did not practice Wednesday.
Coleman suffered a calf injury in practice ahead of Week 2 that forced him to miss the game against the 49ers. A DNP to start the week suggests he is on the wrong side of questionable for this week.

  • FA Cornerback
    Seahawks released CB Justin Coleman.
Coach Pete Carroll suggested this is just a procedural move that gives the team time to send some players to short-term injured reserve. It would not be surprising if he is back on the roster by the end of this week.

  • FA Cornerback
Seahawks signed CB Justin Coleman to a one-year contract.
Coleman lost time to COVID-19 last year but played 716 defensive snaps for the Dolphins. 29 in four days, Coleman’s best years were in Seattle, but he was a little younger back then. So were the Seahawks. He’ll compete to try to fill DJ Reed’s shoes.

  • FA Cornerback
Dolphins activated CB Justin Coleman from the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Miami also got back TE Cethan Carter, OG Robert Jones, OL Greg Mancz, and LB Duke Riley from the reserve list. Coleman should return to rotational snaps in Miami’s secondary.

  • FA Cornerback
Dolphins placed CB Justin Coleman on the reserve/COVID list.
Coleman is a couple of years and a stint in Detroit removed from quality play, but he has played rotational snaps for the Dolphins all year. Losing him for this week will test their depth.

  • FA Cornerback
Dolphins signed CB Justin Coleman, formerly of the Lions, to a one-year, $2.75 million contract.
A slot corner who soon turns 28, Coleman missed five games last season with a hamstring injury and spent time on the COVID list in 2020. Coleman was graded by Pro Football Focus as the league’s 120th best cornerback last year.

  • FA Cornerback
    Lions released CB Justin Coleman.
A favorite of ex-coach Matt Patricia, Coleman lasted two years into a “five-year, $36 million” deal. He missed five games last season with a hamstring injury and also spent time on the COVID list. Coleman is a slot corner only and turns 28 later this month. He was set to count over $11 million against the cap. If he’s designated a pre-June 1 cut, Detroit saves over $4.9 million in cap space while absorbing over $6 million in dead money.

  • FA Cornerback
Lions placed CB Justin Coleman (hamstring) on injured reserve.
Coleman suffered his injury in the second quarter against the Bears. He’ll be eligible to return after the team’s bye week when Detroit travels to Jacksonville in Week 6. Rookie Jeffrey Okudah and veteran CB Desmond Trufant are also battling hamstring injuries, likely leaving the Lions with practice squad bodies against the red hot Packers’ offense in Week 2.
