Louisville redshirt junior WR Justin Marshall entered the transfer portal.
Marshall (6'3/193) joins fellow UL wideout Jordan Watkins and RB Hassan Hall in the transfer portal. He started all 12 of the Cardinals’ games, securing 23-of-34 targets for 322 yards, a 68 percent catch rate, 14 yards per reception and a touchdown while earning a respectable 64.2 overall offensive grade from PFF. Marshall logged 96 percent of his snaps on the outside while reeling in an impressive 7-of-10 contested catch opportunities. He should be a valued contributor wherever he ends up enrolling at.

Louisville received a verbal commitment from four-star 2017 WR Justin Marshall.
Tennessee and Maryland were also in the mix for Marshall’s commitment. The 6-foot-3, 193-pounder ranks as Rivals’ No. 57 wide receiver for the 2017 cycle. That might not seem particularly lofty, but ESPN’s Tom Luginbill wrote in June that he possesses “a noticeable second gear” and is more than just a big jump-ball target.

ESPN’s Tom Luginbill noted that four-star 2017 WR Justin Marshall has a legitimate speed element.
Marshall measures out at 6-foot-3, 193 pounds, but Luginbill likes the overall slant of his skill-set, writing that he “has a noticeable second gear, which you love to see in big receivers as you want them to be more than just jump-ball guys.” The analyst is keen on his ability to create once he has secured the catch. Marshall ranks as ESPN 300’s No. 225 prospect for the 2017 cycle.

ESPN’s Tom Luginbill noted that Louisville four-star 2017 verbal WR commit Justin Marshall is “elusive and a bit of a glider when he gets into the open field.”
Luginbill writes that Marshall "[f]lashes ability to make the tough catch in traffic and is a productive red zone receiver” and believes that the 6-foot-3, 193-pound wideout possesses “the frame to develop into a physical presence over time.” The analyst compares Marshall -- Rivals’ No. 57 wideout for the 2017 cycle -- to Texas A&M’s Josh Reynolds due to the fact that “they are both sneaky fast and much better in space than they get credit for.”
