Tauscher signed the new deal on September 8, according to NFLPA records. The former seventh-round pick had $1.3 million roster bonuses tacked onto his already considerable base salaries. He can make a $200,000 workout incentive in 2008. Tauscher’s deal was not extended, it increased in value.

Favre stayed on the ground for a short time after a he was hit by Vikings DE Kenechi Udeze. RT Mark Tauscher (sprained ankle) and DE Cullen Jenkins (bruised knee) are expected to miss some practice time this week.

Coach Mike McCarthy said Tauscher could have returned to the game if needed. He wasn’t. He should be ready for Week 11.

Tauscher played through the injury for a while, but eventually left and is unlikely to return with the Packers up big late.

The long-time Packers stalwart may not be recovered from ACL surgery until October, and wasn’t the same last year. Green Bay seems likely to fill their tackle need in the draft.

Lang also took some snaps at left guard, but he opened camp at right tackle where there is no clear-cut starter. Last year’s starter Mark Tauscher remains unsigned after late-season ACL surgery.
