49ers selected Kansas State S Marques Sigle with the No. 160 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
One of the more explosive athletes in this year’s safety class, Sigle backs up his tape with a 9.64 RAS that includes elite speed (4.37 40, 1.54 10-yard split) and explosive jumps (38-inch vert, 10’10” broad). The North Dakota State transfer started 26 games over two seasons at Kansas State, earning team captain honors in 2024 and logging three interceptions each of his final two years. Sigle plays with a twitchy trigger downhill and closes ground with burst, but his compact frame (5’11”, 199 lbs) and 30.75-inch arms occasionally show up when tackling through contact. He’s a former corner with natural slot coverage instincts and fluid transitions, though his anticipation in zone still needs refinement. Sigle’s high-level athletic tools, special teams experience, and versatile background (deep, nickel, box) give him Day Three value with starter upside. A developmental DB with traits that scream sub-package contributor from Day 1.
