  • CLE Cornerback #21
Browns CB Denzel Ward (shoulder) will not play in Week 12 against the Broncos.
Ward hadn’t practiced on Wednesday but was listed as limited on Thursday. Despite making progress with his injury, he has officially been ruled out for Week 12. The veteran corner suffered his injury in Week 11 against the Steelers, although the severity of his injury isn’t known at this time. It doesn’t sound like he’s a candidate for injured reserve at this time, leading us to assume this is something that will only sideline him for a week or two. We’ll see how he fares next week when the team begins to prepare for Rams. In addition to Ward, the Browns also ruled out Marquise Goodwin (concussion) for Week 12.
  • CLE Wide Receiver #3
Browns declared WR Marquise Goodwin, QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson, WR David Bell, S Ronnie Hickman, DE Isaiah McGuire, DT Siaki Ika, and OT Dawand Jones inactive for Week 10 against the Ravens.
The most notable absences for the Browns are their tackles, as they’ll be starting backups at both positions with Dawand Jones and Jedrick Wills both out. Deshaun Watson will hope his line holds up against a Ravens defense that boasts a league-high 35 sacks heading into the day.
  • CLE Wide Receiver #3
Browns WR Marquise Goodwin (concussion) will not play in Week 10 against the Ravens.
Fellow reserve receiver David Bell is questionable. The pair of injuries ensure that Cedric Tillman will be on the field for the bulk of Cleveland’s plays for Week 10. The rookie hasn’t done much this year, but an elevated role gives him a pulse in dynasty leagues. Pierre Strong is also listed as questionable.
  • CLE Wide Receiver #3
Browns WR Marquise Goodwin (concussion) did not practice on Wednesday.
Goodwin suffered the concussion in the third quarter of the Browns’ win over the Cardinals in Week 9 and he appears to be a longshot to play on Sunday. If he were unable to suit up, that could mean more snaps for Cedric Tillman as the WR3 in Cleveland against Baltimore.
  • CLE Wide Receiver #3
Browns WR Marquise Goodwin was forced from Cleveland’s Week 9 game against the Cardinals with a concussion and will not return.
Forced into increased snaps following Donovan Peoples-Jones’ trade, Goodwin got shaken up in a third quarter scrum. The ultimate role player, Goodwin and his deep speed should be considered week to week.
  • CLE Wide Receiver #3
Browns WR Marquise Goodwin (back) is questionable for Week 8 vs Seattle.
Goodwin returned to practice Friday after sitting out Wednesday and Thursday. A limited week of practice has him on the wrong side of questionable for Week 8.
  • CLE Wide Receiver #3
Browns WR Marquise Goodwin (NFI) returned to practice.
Goodwin was activated from the NFI list after sitting out the preseason. The veteran deep threat will likely need a few weeks to get back in football shape but is expected to be ready for the season opener.
  • CLE Wide Receiver #19
Browns activated WR Marquise Goodwin (blood clots) from the non-football injury list.
Goodwin has been cleared for a return to football activities after being diagnosed with blood clots in his lungs and legs earlier this offseason. The nine-year veteran is likely to serve as perimeter depth behind Amari Cooper and Donovan Peoples-Jones once he works his way back into football shape.
  • CLE Wide Receiver #19
Browns placed WR Marquise Goodwin on the non-football illness list.
Fellow receivers Mike Woods and Anthony Schwartz were placed on the non-football injury list. Per NFL Network’s James Palmer, Goodwin is dealing with blood clots in his lungs and legs. He began experiencing “discomfort in his legs and slight shortness of breath” during OTAs earlier this year. He can be activated from the non-football injury list at any time, though it’s unclear at this point when he is expected to return to the field.
  • CLE Wide Receiver #3
Browns signed WR Marquise Goodwin, formerly of the Seahawks, to a one-year contract.
As far as we know, the Browns were the only team pursuing Goodwin at this time. The speedy wideout posted a 27-387-4 line last season with the Seahawks and hasn’t gone for more than 395 yards in any of his last four seasons. He’ll likely serve as the fourth receiver behind Amari Cooper, Elijah Moore, and Donovan Peoples-Jones.
