Aaron Rodgers doesn’t think God’s a football fan

Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers probably has some thoughts on who’s responsible for Sunday’s loss to the Seahawks.

He just doesn’t think it’s the Creator of the Universe.

During his weekly radio show with ESPN Wisconsin’s Jason Wilde, Rodgers was asked about the issue of faith and football.

I don’t think God cares a whole lot about the outcome,” Rodgers said, via the Los Angeles Times. “He cares about the people involved, but I don’t think he’s a big football fan.”

That’s exactly what you’d expect someone who was forsaken by the Almighty to say, I guess.

Because Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson has already staked out the high ground, saying that the Lord Himself not only caused him to throw four interceptions, but then allowed him to lead the Seahawks back to a win.

Which means God is either very, very fickle, or had the over.
