When Brett Favre casually answered his first inquiry about Deadspin’s report that he sent lewd pictures to former Jets employee Jenn Sterger, the Vikings quarterback probably didn’t expect the story to blow up quite like it has.
In the 48 hours since Favre first spoke, the NFL admitted they are investigating Favre. The Jets are cooperating, and Favre now faces further allegations about his behavior while with the Jets.
On Saturday, Vikings coach Brad Childress said that he addressed the team (and Favre) about Favre’s situation and the team “won’t let it become a distraction.”
Another concern for number four heading into the Jets game is the health of his elbow. Favre underwent an MRI and he has mild inflammation. Favre has been limited in practice during the week in an effort to relieve pain.
