Though Texans linebacker Brian Cushing retained, via a reduced margin, his AP defensive rookie of the year award via an unprecedented Mulligan vote, the news wasn’t completely good for Cushing.
According to HoustonTexans.com, the less-publicized re-vote regarding the outside linebacker position for the All-Pro team resulted in Cushing losing his spot on the second unit.
Cushing lost four of the five votes that he previously had received. The first time around, Cushing finished in third position.
