Broncos sign OL Max Garcia, NT Darius Kilgo

Reese’s Senior Bowl

Michael Chang

The Broncos have reached a deal with a rookie draft pick on each side of the ball.

Florida center/guard Max Garcia (fourth round) and Maryland nose tackle Darius Kilgo (sixth round) have signed with Denver, the team said Wednesday.

Garcia (6-4, 309) began his collegiate career at Maryland before transferring to Florida in 2012. He made starts at left guard, left tackle and center for the Gators, playing center as a senior. He is the lone interior offensive lineman drafted by Denver, and it’s possible he could push ex-Ravens center Gino Gradkowski for playing time.

Kilgo (6-3, 319) was the only interior defensive lineman selected by the Broncos, which could give him a chance to stick on the roster at nose tackle.

Garcia and Kilgo are the first two Broncos draft picks to sign.
