The Browns got three days of limited practice from tight end Jordan Cameron this week to create some optimism that Cameron was ready to make his return from a concussion that’s sidelined him for the last four weeks.
Cameron was listed as questionable on Friday, but the final step back to a full return will have to wait at least another week. Cameron was downgraded to out for the game against the Bills on Saturday, suggesting that Cameron didn’t pass the final test required under the concussion protocol to clear him for game action.
Another missed game for Cameron is another reason to look at this as a lost season for Cameron, who has also dealt with shoulder issues while playing in just six games and catching just 13 passes. That’s hardly the way Cameron drew up his contract year and we’ll see in the next few months what kind of impact it has on his next deal.
Gary Barnidge and Jim Dray will get the call again at tight end for Cleveland.
