The Chargers have lost a player to an injury suffered not on the field but in the home.

Dexter McCluster has been placed on the reserve non-football injury list with a broken arm. According to multiple reports, McCluster suffered the injury at home, in an accident.

The Chargers have had bad luck with injuries all season, having also lost key players including running back Danny Woodhead, receivers Keenan Allen and Steve Johnson, cornerback Jason Verrett and linebacker Manti Te’o to season-ending injuries.

McCluster was the Chargers’ primary punt and kickoff returner and also played some running back and wide receiver. The Chargers will use Travis Benjamin at punt return and Isaiah Burse at kickoff return.
