Last week, the Chiefs quietly worked out receiver Ashley Lelie.
They’ve now added him to the team.
The move was announced on Monday.
Lelie joined the league as a first-round pick of the Broncos in 2002. After four seasons and a holdout, he forced a trade to the Falcons.
After one season in Atlanta, Lelie spent a year in San Fran, followed by a year across the Bay, with the Raiders.
So he’ll now stay in the AFC West, on a depth chart that includes Amani Toomer, another veteran player who previously couldn’t find a home.
Meanwhile, Matt Jones and Marvin Harrison and Jerry Porter are wondering what in the hell is going on.
