Brandon Weeden isn’t the only player who became a former member of the Cowboys on Tuesday.

The team has decided to drop running back Christine Michael from the roster. Michael, like all players cut from teams at this point in the season, will be subject to waivers and will become a free agent if he goes unclaimed.

Michael joined the Cowboys in a trade for a conditional draft pick just before the start of the regular season in a move that some saw as a possibility for him to grab a prominent role in a Dallas offense with an uncertain running back rotation. Michael only got 15 carries in five games with Dallas, however, and even the departure of Joseph Randle didn’t do anything to get him an increased workload.

Cornerback Corey White has also been cut as the Cowboys shuffle up their roster ahead of Tony Romo’s return to the lineup.
