The Cowboys officially called up defensive end Kenneth Boatright from the practice squad on Saturday, according to the NFL’s transactions.

The move had been expected, with coach Jason Garrett indicating Thursday that Boatright would be elevated to the roster, per the club’s website. However, the transaction was not officially announced by the league until Saturday.

The 24-year-old Boatright has been on the Cowboys’ practice squad all season. He notched nine tackles and one sack in the preseason for Dallas. A Southern Illinois product, Boatright (6-4, 253) is in his second NFL season. He was on the Seahawks’ injured reserve list in 2013.

Boatright’s promotion comes with the Cowboys set to face the Eagles’ fast-paced offense on Sunday night. It also comes with defensive ends Demarcus Lawrence and George Selvie all dealing with ailments. However, Lawrence and Selvie are listed as probable.
