The Cowboys have invested significant resources in their offensive line, and they want to keep investing there.

Via the Dallas Morning News, Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said the team was working on a contract extension for center Travis Frederick.

The team has already picked up the $8.8 million option for 2017 on his deal, but want to keep him well beyond then.

Frederick, the 31st overall pick in 2013, made the Pro Bowl the past two seasons. They’ve also used recent first-rounders on left tackle Tyron Smith (and then extended him) and guard Zack Martin, giving them a stable base on offense they can build on.
