Crabtree expected to play 12-15 snaps after “very good practices”

The attention surrounding Michael Crabtree has mostly dissipated since he started to go about the business of trying to live up to his contract.

And according to “several 49ers staffers” that spoke privately to ESPN this week, Crabtree reportedly enjoyed “very good practices” during San Francisco’s bye week.

The plan is for Crabtree to play 12-15 snaps, mostly at slot receiver, when the 49ers return from the bye to play Houston.

Crabtree will presumably get more snaps as the season wears on. San Francisco’s passing attack has struggled, so Crabtree’s return and a matchup against the soft Houston secondary could provide quarterback Shaun Hill a boost.
