Cutler Loses $100,000

With Vic Lombardi of CBS4 choosing to ignore the Jay Cutler drama at the apparent behest of the home team, we’ll have to rely on the Denver Post and the Rocky Mountain News for information about the situation. According to the Denver Post, Cutler has now missed enough of the offseason program to result in the forfeiture of a $100,000 workout bonus. The Post also reports that Cutler has left his offseason home in Nashville “to retreat to another U.S. destination we won’t name.” Um, what the hell is that? If the Post isn’t going to name his destination, at least tell us why it won’t be named. Did the source ask that it not be named? Or is it something private or potentially embarrassing, like a nudist colony? Then again, “private” and “embarrassing” aren’t words that would come to mind regarding folks who choose to walk around naked all day. Regardless, the Post knows and for unknown reasons the Post isn’t sharing the knowledge. Maybe the Rocky Mountain News will have the scoop.
