The Tennessee Titans lost their third offensive lineman this season to injury when right tackle David Stewart went down with a broken leg Sunday against the Houston Texans.
On Tuesday, the Titans placed Stewart and safety Robert Johnson on injured reserve.
Stewart, a seven-year starter for the Titans, suffered a broken leg on the first possession of the game on Sunday. He joins center Eugene Amano and right guard Leroy Harris as starting linemen lost to injury this season. Amano tore his right triceps in August and Harris suffered a knee injury in November.
With the injuries along the line, the Titans signed guard Kyle DeVan off the street and tackle Daniel Baldridge off the Jacksonville Jaguars practice squad.
The depth will be needed as left guard Steve Hutchinson and left tackle Michael Roos are also dealing with knee injuries.
Johnson suffered torn ligaments in his foot leading to the end of his season. Johnson had compiled 19 tackles and an interception in 12 games for the Titans.
