Eric Decker doesn’t get compared to Chad Johnson or Terrell Owens all that often, but the three wide receivers have at least one thing in common.
All of them have reality television shows now that E! has decided to go forward with a show chronicling Decker’s life with his fiancee. The cable network unveiled their new programming slate on Monday and Love and Other Contact Sports: Eric and Jessie got a spot on the schedule.
Decker and Jessie James, a country singer, are preparing for their wedding and, in the proud tradition of Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries, they have decided to let E! cameras chronicle the steps they take toward the altar. According to the network’s release, “they share an ambition to succeed, a charmingly fun and unfiltered outlook on life, and most of all, a red-hot attraction for each other.”

When he wasn’t gloating about having a quarterback, John Elway said Monday that the Broncos aren’t worried that Decker’s involvement with a reality show will cause any problems for his day job.
“He came in and talked to me the other day about it, so I gave him [my] blessing,” Elway said, via Bill Williamson of ESPN.com. “To each his own. I don’t think that’s going to affect him. I know Eric Decker and how hard he works and what football means to him.”
As long as Decker remains productive of fellow receiver-turned-reality star Hank Baskett (to say nothing of the former castmates mentioned above), that blessing should remain in place.
