Remember how we told you last week that cornerback Cliff Harris had been cut by the Jets after he was arrested? And then how we told you this week that Harris was arrested again after he went back home to Oregon?

Well, now he’s been arrested again.

That’s Harris’s third arrest in the last nine days.

According to FOX 12 in Oregon, the third arrest was for failure to appear in court in connection with the second arrest, which was for domestic harassment after he was seen shoving his girlfriend. The reason Harris missed his scheduled court appearance is that he was pulled over for speeding and passing in a no-passing zone on his way to court, and the officer who pulled him over discovered that he doesn’t have a driver’s license, so the officer wouldn’t let Harris drive the rest of the way to the courthouse. Harris did eventually get someone else to drive him to the courthouse, but by the time he got there he was so late that the judge had issued a bench warrant, so he was arrested on the spot.

Harris was an excellent cornerback and punt returner in college at Oregon, but he was kicked off the team for a series of legal problems. As the legal problems continue, it becomes increasingly unlikely that he’ll ever play in the NFL.
